Oral Examination
Apart from being essential for maintaining oral health, routine oral examinations help your dentist to evaluate and prevent the risk of oral cancer and tooth decay. During an oral examination, we perform an aesthetic evaluation of your teeth, such as checking the spacing of your teeth and state of your bite. All past dental restorations and x-rays will be checked and the patient’s medical and dental history will be reviewed. Lastly, we thoroughly examine your gums for diseases and any signs for oral cancer.
Digital X-ray
Using a specialized digital sensor, this type of eco-friendly technology (which uses less radiation than traditional X-ray technology) captures images of your teeth. The image is seen in a matter of seconds. On the other hand, the traditional X-rays (or dental radiographs) allow your dentist to detect abnormalities and oral diseases that are not visible during an examination. It is a crucial diagnostic tool designed to find cavities and detect bone loss, abnormal growths, oral cancer, and imperfections.
Fillings
To repair a tooth that is affected by decay, cracks or fractures, our dentists use a silver amalgam filling or a composite (tooth coloured) filling. An amalgam filling is more commonly used in the back teeth. As with most dental restorations, amalgam fillings are not permanent. They are however very durable.
Inlays and Overlays
To repair rear teeth with mild to moderate decay or cracked and fractured teeth that are not sufficiently damaged to need a crown, our dentists use dental inlays and onlays. These types of repairs are done when old fillings need to be removed or replaced. A dental inlay is similar to a filling — it fits inside the cusp tips (top edges) of the tooth. A dental onlay is more extensive and extends over the cusps of the treated tooth.
Crowns
Crowns are used to protect a tooth that has undergone root canal therapy. They can also be attached to a dental implant to create a lifelike tooth replacement or placed on abutment teeth to anchor a replacement for a missing tooth. Most crowns are made of either porcelain-fused-to-metal or ceramic. Both options can be precisely colour matched to your existing teeth.

Bridges

Root Canal Treatment
When the nerve of a tooth is affected by decay or infection, root canal therapy is required. In order to save the tooth, the pulp (living tissue), nerves, bacteria, and decay are removed. The space is then filled with dental materials which restore the tooth to its full function. Root canal treatment is highly successful and usually lasts a lifetime. On occasion, a tooth will have to be retreated due to new infections.
Tooth Extraction
A tooth extraction procedure is recommended to prevent the spread of infection when your tooth is severely decayed or damaged. Our dentists will analyse the condition and discuss alternatives to extractions in order to avoid future complications.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are small titanium fixtures that take the place of a tooth’s natural root. Using local anesthesia, they are positioned into the bone. Permanent teeth can be built upon these implants. These teeth are custom designed and shaded to aesthetically suit each patient’s smile.
Dentures
Dentures are used to replace your missing or lost tooth. You can choose either partial or full dentures, according to your requirements. They provide a long-lasting solution.
Mouth Guards
This device acts as a shock absorber to protect your teeth from blows or excessive force while playing sports. They help in minimizing the risk of oral and facial injuries. Several design options are available with us.
TMJ
Tempro-mandibular joint dysfunction syndrome (TMJ) is a common condition that is characterized by severe headaches, jaw pain of varying degrees, grinding teeth and an intermittent ringing in the ears. Our dentists are able to test, diagnose, and devise an immediate plan to treat the underlying causes of the TMJ disorder.
